Famine Relief & Food Security

First Bridge Foundation is currently providing food and water to the drought-stricken areas countrywide. The famine has claimed lives of both human and livestock. First Bridge Foundation continues to appeal for support to provide these communities with food and water to alleviate suffering from this national disaster. The Foundation has been partnering with other charitable organizations, relief agencies, and well -wishers to access and distribute food and water to people affected by famine. This has supplemented efforts by the government, and other agencies. Since January 2018, the Foundation has donated food, water and certified seeds valued at over 2 million shillings. We invite more donations from well- wishers and partners to assist our people.

Our Benefits

  • Food Security: Ensuring families have access to reliable, nutritious meals.

  • Livelihoods Support: Helping farmers with drought-tolerant seeds and inputs.

  • Resilience Building: Reducing dependence on emergency aid through training and sustainable farming practices.

  • Community Health: Promoting better nutrition and well-being in vulnerable households.

How does First Bridge Foundation provide famine relief?

We distribute food, water, and certified seeds directly to affected households, often in partnership with government agencies and international organizations.

Do you only provide short-term food relief?

No. In addition to food aid, we focus on long-term solutions such as agricultural training, drought-resistant crops, and community empowerment to reduce future vulnerability.

Who benefits from this program?

The program targets vulnerable households—especially families with children, the elderly, and widows—in counties hardest hit by famine and drought.

How can I support this initiative?
